Who we are

Hannah House Family is a Burundian non profit organization which works with children in some of the toughest places around in Burundi.

Vision and Mission

Hannah House Family was born out of an idea that orphaned children should lead a decent life and be able to be useful to the community. Thus, its vision is to equip orphaned as well as abandoned children with positive values and quality education in a prosperous community.  Its mission is to identify, protect orphaned and abandoned children in order to ensure their holistic development.

In addition to these principles, staff, volunteers, partners, consultants, etc., must adopt or, where appropriate, comply with the following values:

  • Faithfulness(proverbs 28:20)
  • Hope(Hebrews 10:23)
  • Perseverance(Romans 8:25)
  • Compassion(Romans 12:15, Colossians 3:12))
  • Humility(Philippians 3:12, Jack 4:10, Proverbs 4:22)
  • Respect(Romans 13:7)
  • Gratitude(1 Corinthians 15:57, Colossians 3:17)
  • Excellence( Matthew 5:48)

Where we work in Burundi

Despite Burundi’s wealth and medium standard of living, many children struggle to reach their potential because they don’t have access to education, healthcare, and protection services. We work across Burundi, Bubanza, Cibitoke, Bujumbura Mairie & Rural, Makamba, Gitega,Mwaro and Bururi.
